Brief description: From 25 June to 15 July, a PhD student and psychologist from our team attended the “Mental Health, Youth and Society” summer school, organized by the University of Amsterdam. The three-week programme brought together students and professionals from psychology, sociology, education, public health, and medicine to explore public and behavioral health strategies for supporting the well-being of adolescents and young adults. Through lectures, site visits, and collaborative work in small groups, participants engaged with current approaches to health promotion, prevention, and intervention in youth mental health and addiction, with particular attention to underserved and marginalized groups. As part of the programme, the ExperiMental project was also introduced and discussed with an international, interdisciplinary audience. The experience allowed Jelena to exchange ideas with researchers and practitioners from across Europe and beyond, and to bring fresh, evidence-based perspectives back to our work with the young people involved in our studies.
